Sabrina Introduces You to The Northchurch Alert System
Sabrina:"Awaken My Children and you shall hear
of Northchurch Alerts on your phone always near!"
The Horse: That was corny. Longfellow is spinning in his grave.
Sabrina:
Yeah, but it's a fun way to introduce the Northchurch Alert System on Omniopolis!
The Horse: An alert system? Like a burglar alarm?
Sabrina: No. This is a cellular texting and email system.
The Horse: You mean where I can have announcements about weather and such sent to my cellphone?
What's so different about that?
Sabrina: Well usually, alert systems are self serving to the companies that offer them. "See OUR weather report! Get special deals from OUR advertisers! Here's OUR breaking news!"
The Horse: Nothing wrong with that...
Sabrina: But that's not what Northchurch is about. It's a *community* alert.
The Horse: I know all about community alerts. I was Paul Revere's horse. "The British are coming! The British are coming!" Whatta loudmouth. I wasn't the only hoarse one by the end of that night.
Sabrina: Then you may know why we call it Northchurch Alerts.
The Horse: I was there. (Quoting) "Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch of the North Church tower as a signal light..."
Sabrina: One if by land, and two if by sea! Right! Just like the lights that started your "Midnight Ride!"
The Horse: Clever. But you said it was a "Community" Alert.
Sabrina: Yup! For the people, BY the people. Any person, group, business or organization can use the alert system to send their message to Northchurch subscribers... for free.
The Horse: Seriously? How does that work?
Sabrina: Easy. All they have to do is go to Omniopolis.us, and sign up as a Northchurch Alert Sender. Then they can send messages, via text and email, to whomever subscribes to their alerts.
The Horse: Isn't that... dangerous? Won't the subscribers information be at risk?
Sabrina: Nope. Other users of Omniopolis can securely subscribe to whatever alerts are listed, without fear of having their information leaked to the message sender. The sender only sees how MANY people he's sending to.
The Horse: What if they try the alerts and don't like what they get?
Sabrina: The subscriber can opt out of a particular sender's alerts just as easily as they subscribed. No Harm, No Foul.
Horse: Wow, there's a lot of possibilities with something like this... and you say it's FREE?!
Sabrina: You bet! Free to send texts, and free to receive. Well, your cell providers own text charges will still apply, but its free to subscribe!
Sabrina: Omniopolis was created with the economic recovery if the country in mind. Most of the tools on the site, designed for businesses or individuals are free or low cost... including Northchurch.
Horse: Outstanding. Until the economy is stable again, it's good to know that we won't be saddled with extra fees.
Sabrina: Omniopolis and Northchurch Alert System, Because we're all in this together.
